Properties

They are putty poly-addition silicone rubber which cures at room temperature with a low shrinkage. They are used in the hobbies/restoration sector to prepare moulds for the reproduction of objects. The product is applied directly on the object to copy. Curing is fast and hardening takes place in a few minutes from the start of mixing. You obtain rigid and resistant moulds with high fidelity of reproduction and excellent dimensional stability. Hardening occurs in a few minutes. Some properties are: high dimensional stability, excellent non-stick effect, skin compatible, easy to work.

How to use

Mix exactly the same quantity of part A and part B. If the proportions are not exactly, the curing times and the final properties can be different. Mix the mass energetically with your fingertips for about 30” until a homogeneous colour is obtained, without stripes. Then model the mass as required. You have about 2’30″ to work with the mass, including mixing time, at room temperature. It takes 10’ for the demoulding. The curing speed is influenced by the temperature. We recommend to work in an isothermal place at 23°C. Higher temperatures accelerate the curing times, lower temperatures reduce them. Some inhibitions to vulcanization process may occur when the silicone rubber get in contact with amines, plasticines, metal salts, sulphur, tin catalyst and poly-condensation silicone rubber. To avoid any inhibition problems, we recommend a preliminary test for the compatibility of the silicone on the material to duplicate. The products, when stored under appropriate conditions, are stable and usable for 12 months. We suggest to keep the products in their original packaging, well-closed at a temperature between +7°C and +27°C, in well-aired places. Close always the caps after use. Do not reverse the caps. Put always the counter-caps in their packaging.
